Silver Salver
The Silver Salver race dates back to the late 1970s, when the Newquay women's committee first awarded the prize to female crews. The annual race sees the best 18 women rowers who are available compete against each other.

Silver Gig
In 1922 the club was presented with the Silver Gig Trophy, given by Mr. T. A. Reed, a Newquay businessman and great supporter of the rowing club. The Trophy is of a model gig seven inches long, complete in every detail including a set of silver oars. It was and still is the most prestigious trophy that a club member can row for, only the three old gigs are used, with the top eighteen rowers from the club invited to compete.
Atkinson Trophy
Regarded by many to be one of the most exciting and highly contested races in Newquay Rowing Club's calendar. The race starts on the river Gannel, across Fistral bay back to the harbour. The Atkinson Trophy was given to the Rowing Club by Jack Atkinson in the 1960's, a leading town jeweller and a big supporter of the club.

FC West Cup
Davey Cup
The cup is named after Bob Davey, one of the four Newquay men who went over to the Scillies in the fifties, to bring back four of the old Scillonian gigs, which were repaired and raced in Newquay for two decades before being swapped back with Scilly for two new gigs in the seventies. This signalled the re-birth of Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing and is the reason we have such a thriving sport today.

Whitehouse Cup
Sheilah Parnell has sponsored the race in memory of her father Ewart Kennedy who was one of the first Rowing Club secretaries back in the 1920's. Sheilah started the race in 1990 and it became the first straight cup race rowed by the club for over 50 years and it has always been a straight mile race in flat out rowing from Porth to the harbour. The race is named the Whitehouse in memory of Sheilah's late husband

Gardener Powell
The first Newquay Rowing Club gig race of the year to involve two circuits of the triangular course in Newquay Bay. The annual Gardner Powell race has been run since the mid-fifties. The race is named after Stanley Gardner Powell, a jeweller from Birmingham who relocated to Newquay and had a great interest and support for the Rowing Club.
